Ben Page-Phillips is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Nincomsoup.  He has a background in food and drink, after completing a chef's apprenticeship he studied Hospitality Management and upon graduating joined the wine trade on a graduate management training program before starting Nincomsoup. In addition to his responsibilities of running the company he remains active in recipe and product development. Tom Page-Phillips co-founded Nincomsoup with his Brother Ben. He started out in design, studying furniture design before turning to product design and then web design.  In more recent years he has been turning his attention to Teaching Training but still assists in the running of the business and trouble shoots operational issues.  

Our subterranean soup shop located in Old Street Station is run by a small, loyal dedicated team.  Team Members spend up to 3 months learning every aspect of the business from baking cakes, cooking soups, preparing sandwiches, frothing cappuccinos, squeezing juices, to simply manning the tills. We rotate positions every 2 weeks to provide job enrichment and create a strong multi skilled and adaptable team, essential to meet the challenge of making a fresh product from scratch every day. Team Members can opt to take on additional Management responsibilities to further their skill set and salary. Meanwhile our dedicated baristas sleep breathe and eat coffee, attend trade shows, cupping events and seek to develop their skills and knowledge through on going training.  In addition to the daily barista duties the role provides a lot of creative opportunity for developing our coffee offer, shaping our training program, and organising customer events such as cuppings and brew demonstrations.  Everyone attends a daily 'Team Brief' to discuss issues and plan the day ahead while the management team have a weekly 'Manager's Meeting' with the Directors Ben and Tom to discuss the development, performance and needs of the shop.
